Dear GCF Community,
We are excited to share the success of our recent initiative aimed at supporting students and families as they prepare for the new school year. On July 29th, during our Open House event, Graves Community Foundation organized the sale of grade-level school supplies in vibrant color-coded bags, ensuring students are well-equipped for the academic journey ahead.
Colorful Solutions for a Bright Future
The color-coded bags not only added a touch of fun but also simplified the process for both parents and students. Each bag was tailored to specific grade levels, containing essential school supplies to kickstart a successful academic year. We believe that providing students with the right tools fosters a positive learning environment and sets the stage for a year of achievement.
Caring Beyond Commerce
Following the Open House, our dedicated teachers identified hardship cases among our student body. Recognizing the importance of ensuring every student has access to necessary supplies, GCF stepped in. We are proud to share that, thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to provide the school supply bags to those students facing financial challenges at no charge.
Nancy Olvera’s Commitment to Community
A special thank you to Nancy Olvera, a valued member of the GCF Board. Nancy played a crucial role in connecting with parents, providing them with information about the school supply initiative, and ensuring a smooth purchasing process. Her dedication to community outreach exemplifies the spirit of collaboration that defines Graves Community Foundation.
At GCF, we believe in the power of community support and collaboration. This initiative not only made back-to-school preparations easier for families but also reinforced our commitment to ensuring that every student at Graves Community School has the tools they need to thrive.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative. Together, we are making a positive impact on the education and well-being of our students.
Warm regards,
Graves Community Foundation
